About this item
Herpa 1/500 scale, diecast metal models are developed as a collaborative effort with aircraft manufacturers and the airlines and are recognized by discerning model airplane collectors worldwide for their unparalleled, accurate realism, attention to detail and exceptional quality. As a symbol of its appreciation for its employees, this Eurowings Airbus A320, which measures approximately 2-15/16-inches long with a 2-3/4-inch wingspan, prominently features the German and English messages, WAS MICH ANTREIBT? DAS BESTE TEAM DER WE / FUELLED BY THE WORLD'S GREATEST TEAM on the left and right sides of the fuselage silhouetted by an outline of blue decorative contrail hearts on both sides, which is a vapor trail that is produced by aircraft engine exhaust. A Display Stand is not included and is sold separately - Herpa HE521024. Currently acknowledged as one of the highest selling airliners of all time, the Airbus A320 is a narrow-body, twin engine jet that went into service in 1988 as an innovative pioneer with digital fly-by-wire side stick controls and is typically configured to fly 150 to 186 passengers over short to medium distances. Airbus has subsequently released a more efficient version of the Airbus A320, the Airbus A320neo - new engine option - which offers better fuel economy.
